Shore dive
I went diving today, entering the water from the rocky beach. We swam 600 feet out ( underwater ) to a sunken ship. It's an American ship sunk by a Jap sub during WW 2. The ship sits in about 80 feet of crystal clear water. It is completely coral encrusted and teeming with huge schools of colorful fish. It was the most impressive dive I've been on in 35 years of diving. We swam in and out and thru the broken hull. Porters carried our equipment up the beach and thru the jungle to the beach. The tiny women porters each carried about 120 pounds of dive equipment. I doubt they weighed 100 themselves. It was quite something to see. That's our dive master discussing the wreck and how the dive would unfold.
