Still in transit

We are at the Makasar airport on the southern tip of Sulawesi after a one hour sunrise flight from Bali. We were the only westerners on the flight and the only westerners at this airport. This island is predominantly Muslim as is most of Indonesia. ( Bali was Buddhist with some Hindus) . There's a Mosque inside the airport. As always, everyone is kind and graciousness . We are here for 4 hours, then board a flight to Manado on the northern tip of Sulawesi. We will be picked up at the airport ( hopefully ) and be driven to the coast where we board a small boat to our destination , tiny Siladen island. It's the most remote place we have ever been. The airport here in Makasar, although small, is modern and spotlessly clean. The corridors are lined with beautiful potted orchids, a nice touch. We are hoping to be on Siladen Island by dark, a long , involved journey. With any luck, I'll have wifi. The two men were playing traditional music in the airport, sounded like a Sitar. I like the bank ad.
