Island Village

We took a walk through the village this afternoon, everyone smiled at us and nodded hello . We entered thru a gate, the resort has paved their main st. We went out on the town pier, a traditional dugout canoe laid in the jungle nearby. The kids played on an inner-tube, all laughing, probably their only toy. Look at the shot of the house with traditional woven exterior walls. A man proudly showed me his two long shaft outboard motors for his outrigger canoe. Their are volcanoes where ever you look, most are active.the only store on the island had a rather limited selection.
