Combat patrols

We had some excitement while sitting in our airport hotel waiting to leave. The hotel is holding an International Oil Conference and apparently they are nervous about a terrorist attack . Military combat patrols are constantly roaming the grounds with helicopter gunships hovering above. The soldiers are dressed in black special ops uniforms. Interestingly , I noticed all the soldiers were carrying submachine guns with suppressors ( silencers ) . Some men carried LAWS, ( light anti tank rockets). They seem concerned with the beach as the patrols are constant there. The hotel front gate is heavily guarded. I am sitting in the shade at the beach hoping for a photo op if terrorists assault the beach. I ran up to the last patrol that went by. Check out the guy with the machine gun eyeing me. I smiled, he didn't . On a lighter note, these two men played beautiful bamboo vibe music. at breakfast.
