This coconut sized fruit grows wild and is considered a delicacy in Indonesia . It is sold roadside and in all markets. It is without a doubt the most disgusting smelling and tasting food I have ever eaten. It smells like decaying meat and the strong taste ( which lingers in the mouth ) tastes like beyond horrible. Our Indonesian daughter in law told me " white man doesn't like it"
I've heard Durian is absolutely awful too, from my friend in Hawaii. But it looks like maybe some chaoyote there which Eric's started making for us and that's very good.
