Travel Essentials

We follow a few basic globe trotter rules to keep healthy and avoid getting stranded in the middle of nowhere. Karen's purse in made from slash proof materials. The purse zippers clip shut to deter pickpockets. The strap has a stainless steel cable running thru it prevent cutting. Karen carries the passports, credit cards and a small amount of local cash. I carry the hidden money belt with our stash of new 100's. Her purse and my money belt never leave our bodies. We don't trust hotel safes, locked hotel doors or locked luggage. We accept the fact that all our personal items and luggage are expendable. We never use an ATM or visit banks, why advertise you just received a wallet full of cash ?
Our health rules are simple: If it's not steaming hot, if we can't peel it, or open it with a bottle opener, we don't touch it. No salads, no dairy, no desserts, no ice, nothing but sealed bottled water, ( we brush our teeth with it ) . We keep our mouths shut in the shower.
These travel rules have served us well, but they are not always easy to follow.  We carry a comprehensive supply of life saving antibiotics, etc. Our formula is simple and it works.
