Leyte transportation

There are almost no cars here on Leyte, most people walk to get anywhere. If quicker transportation is needed, the most common means is by a sort of rickshaw vehicle fabricated from motorbikes . They take a small motorcycle and weld in seats and a roof with windshield , they're called Hubble- hubbles. I've seen 5 or 6 people crammed in them, they also carry lumber, or whatever. We hired one for a ride back from town, they're surprisingly comfortable and cheap , a 2 mile ride cost 30 pesos (60 cents) . I wouldn't want to get in a crash in one.
For more long distance travel, you take the Jeepney, a bus contraption made from Jeep parts. You seem them jammed with passengers.
