We often saw flood warning signs in the mountains. Our inn keepers said floods can trap them for days at a time. We always looked for koalas, but never saw any. Australia was plagued in the past with imported rabbits which multiplied into millions. The ecological damage was catastrophic. They apparently frown on pet rabbits.
