Riverbank bike ride.

Our captain pulled the boat up to the bank ( locals were washing clothes in the river ) and with our guide, we took off on a bike ride. We peddled thru tiny villages, past gardens, and vast rice paddies. The modest houses were well built of masonry, almost all had a few bonsai . We didn't really prepare properly for the ride in the incredible heat and humidity . ( our guide didn't warn us ). The temperature was 102 in the shade. We both got toasted. Karen almost got heat stroke . That's her cooling down at the end of our ride with a cool wet cloth.
