The Poet runs a world famous handmade. Sandal shop,people come from all over the world to buy his elegant , well made sandals. The shop is a hole in the wall packed floor to ceiling with thousands of sandals, they are hand fitted and very well made coming in dozens of styles, celebs from all over have come here for decades to get the signature foot ware; John Lennon and the Beatles, Jackie Onnasis  Jessica Parker etc, The owner recommends rubbing them in olive oil to soften and darken them.
