Ao dai

The Ao dai is the national dress of Vietnamese women. It is usually made of silk. A pair of slacks is worn underneath, often black, but can be any color. We happened upon a group of friends preparing for a wedding, as best I could tell they were just attending and not part of the wedding. Their white silk outfits were quite beautiful.
Small girls often wear them although western style school uniforms are standard for all students.
